Perlane, a member of the Restylane product family, has now been approved by the FDA for use in the United States. Perlane is shown to smooth severe facial folds and wrinkles, whereas Restylane is best for mild to moderate lines. Results generally last longer than 6 months. As with Restylane, allergy pre-testing is not necessary.
